This genuine AprilAire Replacement Filter fits your AprilAire Whole Home Dehumidifier Model E080 or E100 or Dehumidifying Ventilator Model 8192A, all variations of these models, including (but not limited to) E100C and E080H. A dirty or clogged filter reduces the efficiency of your dehumidifying equipment and may cause overheating and shutdown. Maintain peak performance of your dehumidifier or ventilator by following the recommended maintenance schedule. Every 6 months, or when the Clean Filter service reminder lights up on your AprilAire unit, remove and wash or replace the filter. Filter can be washed with water and mild detergent. Simply rinse it clean, shake off the excess water, and re-insert it into the dehumidifier. No need to wait for it to dry. It has nominal dimensions of 12 inches x 13.5 inches x 1 inch. Made with aluminum mesh around a foam core inside an aluminum frame. Filter is reversible so it can be installed in the dehumidifier facing either direction as long as you line up the length and width correctly so that the filter slots into the retention rails properly. MERV 8 filtration efficiency rating. Package includes one (1) Model 5881 filter. Note: MERV is a scale used to measure the effectiveness of air filters.
